Leadership is rarely simple. It is personal, complex, and often carried quietly by the people responsible for guiding organizations forward. Throughout my career, I have been drawn to supporting leaders from the inside — helping them navigate complexity while strengthening the relationships and communication that allow organizations to succeed.
Today, I provide on-site, embedded leadership support for organizations navigating growth, transition, and organizational change. I work inside organizations as a part-time leadership partner, supporting executives, boards, and leadership teams as they strengthen alignment, address interpersonal challenges, and move forward with clarity and confidence.
Leadership Experience Built From the Inside
My leadership journey spans decades of management, organizational leadership, and consulting experience across diverse industries and organizational structures. Over time, I discovered that many leadership challenges cannot be fully resolved through outside advice alone. Leaders often need experienced partnership from someone who understands their environment, relationships, and real-time decision pressures.
This realization shaped my work into what it is today — providing embedded, on-site leadership support that combines strategic insight with relational leadership stability.
By working inside organizations, I am able to:
• Listen across leadership levels and departments
• Understand organizational culture and communication dynamics
• Support leaders during difficult or complex conversations
• Strengthen leadership alignment and decision clarity
• Provide trusted, confidential partnership during periods of change
All of the attendees at our conference enjoyed your presentation because you speak from experience. You’ve run businesses and are faced with these problems day in and day out. Your enthusiasm and knowledge sent us away with tools we can use at our own locations to improve our level of customer service.

A Leadership Partner During Organizational Transitions
Organizations typically engage my support when they are navigating:
• Growth that is stretching leadership capacity
• Leadership transitions or succession planning
• Executive or team alignment challenges
• Cultural or organizational restructuring
• Communication breakdowns or interpersonal leadership tensions
• Periods of uncertainty requiring steady leadership perspective
My work focuses not only on solving visible challenges, but on strengthening the leadership relationships and communication structures that support long-term organizational success.
A Relationship-Centered Approach to Leadership Support
While strategy and structure are important, organizational success is ultimately driven by people. I am particularly known for helping leaders stabilize interpersonal dynamics, rebuild trust, and improve communication across leadership teams.
By providing embedded leadership support, I help organizations create space for thoughtful decision-making while maintaining forward momentum.
My role is not to replace leadership, but to support and strengthen the leadership already in place.
Leadership Beyond Consulting
In addition to my work with organizations, I actively serve as a leadership volunteer and community leader. I currently serve as District Governor for Rotary District 5110, supporting leadership development and community impact initiatives across Oregon and Northern California.
This role reflects my lifelong commitment to leadership development, service, and helping organizations and communities navigate change with confidence and collaboration.
The Perspective I Bring to Organizations
Clients often describe my work as providing:
• A stabilizing leadership presence
• A trusted and confidential sounding board
• Clarity during complex leadership decisions
• Support navigating interpersonal and organizational challenges
• Calm, experienced guidance during transition and growth
My goal is always to help leaders feel supported, aligned, and confident as they guide their organizations forward.
A Personal Note

My professional work is shaped by my passion for aviation and hang gliding, where success depends on understanding turbulence, reading changing conditions, and recognizing opportunities for lift. I often see leadership in similar terms. Organizations rarely operate in calm, predictable conditions. Strong leadership comes from understanding complexity, responding thoughtfully, and finding opportunities to move forward with confidence.
