I’m Christine Waugh, a business coach, consultant, and trainer with over two decades of experience. I’m based in Eugene, Oregon. My career started in banking, where I approved Small Business Administration funding for business start-ups and expansions. From there I built and managed a group of visitor attractions, and later, was the COO of a global medical device manufacturer. Throughout these diverse roles, I honed a passion for leadership and its profound influence on business success.
But that’s not all. My journey also includes soaring above mountain peaks as an advanced hang glider pilot and making a difference as a leader in Rotary International. These unique experiences have shaped my approach to leadership – blending strategy, adventure, and service to empower others to reach new heights.
Rising Above the Rest – Leadership Lessons from the Sky
As an advanced hang glider pilot, I learned to navigate turbulence and capitalize on the lift—skills that mirror the challenges and opportunities in business. Just as a hang glider identifies and utilizes unseen currents to soar, I guide leaders to recognize and leverage growth opportunities. This adventurous perspective adds a dynamic dimension to my coaching and consulting, empowering clients to rise above challenges.

I’m not a fan of self-help books, and I liked your book. It dealt with self-help in an entirely different way and it’s very useful.
