Welcome to Leader Support Service. Hi, I’m Christine Waugh, an experienced business consultant based in Eugene, Oregon. This is your destination for leadership excellence. My journey began with extensive experience in business management and administration, kindling a deep passion for leadership. With that unique blend of business expertise, I added insights from a background as an advanced hang glider pilot. I have learned that just like a hang glider identifies and catches the lift to soar above turbulence, business leaders like you can learn to recognize and harness opportunities, reaching new heights in your professional journey. My commitment to excellence extends beyond business, as I actively engage with my community through leadership service in Rotary International and other organizations.

Fusion of Business Expertise and Adventure
At the heart of Leader Support Service is a fusion of business acumen and adventure. Your business is an adventure, right? It probably feels like an adrenaline sport sometimes. You can fly – hang gliding is optional.
With an extensive background in management and operations, I bring real-world experience to the table. But it’s my love for flight that has taught me valuable lessons about leadership. You need to know about navigating uncertainty and capitalizing on the lift in the turbulence to soar. The metaphor of finding lift in turbulent air and seizing opportunities resonates deeply with me, and I’m excited to share those insights with you. That’s why I’m your experienced business consultant and partner here in Eugene, Oregon.
How to Fly by the Seat of Your Pants
Leaders need to know how to ‘wing it’ effectively during these changing times. The first of my books, “How to Fly by the Seat of Your Pants,” will show you how to find opportunities in all that turbulence – and be prepared to take advantage of them. You can lead through uncertainty. You can soar, personally and professionally.

I’m not a fan of self-help books, and I liked your book. It dealt with self-help in an entirely different way and it’s very useful.

Engagement in Rotary and Community
Beyond my business endeavors, I’m a proud member of the Rotary International community. I am currently serving as the District Governor-Elect for 5110, which covers 50,000 square miles, spans Oregon and Northern California, and supports 62 clubs and 2,800 members. Rotary’s values of leadership, service and community impact align with my mission to empower leaders. Through my Rotary involvement, I’ve had the privilege of contributing to meaningful projects and connecting with like-minded individuals who share my commitment to making a positive difference.
I am also an active member of several Chambers of Commerce in the Eugene/Springfield area. In the past, I served as President of the Eugene Southtowne Rotary Club, the Newport Rotary Club, the Newport Chamber of Commerce, and the Lincoln City Chamber of Commerce.
